We are excited to announce the establishment of the annual Governor Mifflin Baseball Association Scholarship, set to debut this spring for the Class of 2025. This scholarship represents our commitment to supporting student-athletes who have demonstrated excellence both on the diamond and in the classroom throughout their high school careers.
More Than Just Athletic Achievement
We’ve always believed that baseball builds more than just athletic skills—it develops character, discipline, and leadership. This new scholarship aims to recognize a senior player who truly embodies the core values of Governor Mifflin Baseball. The scholarship will be formally presented at the Governor Mifflin Senior Awards ceremony, creating a special moment to celebrate an outstanding young man before he embarks on his next chapter.
Eligibility Criteria
We’ve carefully developed criteria that reflect our organization’s values and mission. To be eligible for the GMBA Scholarship, candidates must:
- Have participated in baseball during all four years of high school, demonstrating commitment and dedication to the sport
- Maintained at least a 3.0 GPA, showing that academic excellence remains a priority
- Plan to attend college or trade school, pursuing further education and career development
- Have demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and leadership on the field
- Served as a positive role model for youth baseball players in our community
